Clearweather for Barneys New York

To close out our Spring/Summer 2018 BNY Sole Series, this month we worked with Clearweather, a newcomer to our footwear collaboration project. The label was founded in 2014 and caught our buyers’ eyes for their ability to blend luxe materials like suede with performance-based soles. “Clearweatherreally brings a top-notch design element to the sneaker world. The founders, Josh and Brandon Brubaker, do such a fantastic job sourcing inspiration from classic silhouettes and then truly make their shoes their own,” says Senior Men’s Footwear buyer Chris Pepe.

For our exclusive mens’ styles, the team mixed and matched the uppers and soles of popular Clearweather styles to create two unique sneakers. The Cloud Stryk Mesh & Suede Sneakers are available in both pink and black and feature an asymmetrical design with the brand’s comfortable, Stryktec® foam sole. We are also releasing the Castas, a chukka-sneaker hybrid that combines a luxe suede upper with a sporty, functional bottom.
